# LadyBOI Mileage Debuff &                     BOI Sickness Debuff

If a LadyBOI is used during a rental, it receives a permanent debuff in the form of added “mileage” (wear). This wear reduces the chance of generating a SmolBOI in future attempts meaning the LadyBOI effectively “degrades” with each real use.

**This trade-off is intentional:**

BOI Sickness Debuff is a temporary cooldown that can trigger after each BOI use in SmolBOI Event Xtreme. If it triggers, your BOI becomes “sick” and is temporarily unable to participate in the next SmolBOI Event Xtreme attempts for a defined period of time. Rarity matters twice: the rarer the BOI, the lower the chance of sickness triggering, and the shorter the sickness duration if it does.

This trade-off is intentional:
